Originally from San Francisco, California, I started working in Napa Valley in the late 1990’s. In 2007, after traveling extensively throughout the Balkan Peninsula in Europe, I started the Vinologue wine book series. I’ve been living in Catalonia since 2012 and, after spending two years living in the Girona/Costa Brava area, I live full time in Priorat. You’ll find me writing about Catalan wine for various websites and publications (including Decanter, World of Fine Wine, Harpers, & Jancis Robinson), leading tastings, and also working the harvest. You can follow my wine blog at Wine on VI or view the other books I’ve written for Vinologue including the new Georgian wine book.
Feel free to watch an interview of me on one of the local TV stations in Catalonia.
* Yes, I’ve seen SOMM I & SOMM II. The first is by far the better but both are super geeky and only recommended if you’re into the Nerd Side of wine.
